I work with small product businesses in need of strategic marketing direction and one-off or ongoing marketing support. Not everything is possible on a small budget, but I do my best to maximise whatever marketing budget you have and set you on the path to generate ROI from your marketing activities.
Introducing me, Eleanor!
I'm Eleanor, the driving force behind EMD Marketing.
My love affair with marketing started back at university when I was studying for a degree in Business Management and worked as a marketing assistant for Helix - remember your Helix Oxford maths set at school? That’s the one!
From there my career has focused on product and brand management. I have been lucky enough to work with several consumer goods brands on really exciting marketing campaigns, marketing plans & innovation projects.
I learnt so much about small businesses in this time and found there are such unique challenges to marketing a product that it takes a certain skillset and knowledge to be successful. To add to my marketing knowledge I completed my CIM Diploma in Marketing in 2018.
EMD Marketing was established after having my little boy in September 2019. I’d always harboured a dream of running my own business and the time felt right to go out on my own.
A few years down the line and I truly love the work I get to do every day.
Why I'm different
Can I tell you a secret? The thing that drives me to keep going and what I love most about my job is seeing how valuable my work is to other businesses. A lot of businesses feel marketing is a box that needs to be ticked. That’s not how I work.
I don’t believe in doing something just because you think you should be. My work is all about getting the most out of every marketing activity and opportunity you have. If something isn’t working I’ll tell you, if we need to change something I’ll tell you. For me, honesty and transparency are essential to business growth and to a successful working relationship.
